Jul 6, 2026 05:30 PM IST Alpha Movie LIVE Updates: 'There's absolutely zero effort in the story' User Positive-Factor-8122 posted a note on Reddit which read, "Story & Writing: This movie is heavily inspired by the Marvel Universe and follows the same old YRF spy template with the usual tropes.
There's absolutely zero effort in the story (it's bad, illogical, and I don't even want to talk about it), while the dialogues are equally horrendous.
Climax was very dull and could've been shot w/o rain backdrop. The film could've been trimmed by atleast 15 minutes.
Technical Aspects: You can tell the technical team put in efforts with whatever they were asked to do but weak scripting brings the entire film down.
Since the content wasn't strong, the makers relied on loud BGM and the songs were bad too.
The end-credit song was so bad that I'm glad they didn't release it for marketing otherwise it would have also got trolled.
Performances: The makers have tried to make Alia's character a copy of Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova, both in personality and overall vibe.
Sharvari being her twin is also hard to digest and feels very unrealistic.
Alia emoted okayish but action just doesn't suit her and she should never do such films.
Though I did like the de-aged 18yo Alia, some action in that flashback would have looked good.
Sharvari light up the screen with a fresh, chirpy and breezy vibe, and easily stands out.
Bobby was eye-soreingly bad and that Haryanvi accent made it worse.
Anil Kapoor was just decent and Dia Mirza was a 2 min cameo.
Overall: Strictly a one-time watch.
