Auqib Nabi (Image credit: Sri Lanka Cricket) NEW DELHI: Jammu and Kashmir seamer Auqib Nabi earned his maiden call-up to the Indian team after senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka.
TimesofIndia.com had earlier reported that the J & K pacer was the frontrunner to replace the 32-year-old in the squad, who has not yet fully recovered from the left knee injury sustained during the ODI series against England.
"The Men's Selection Committee has named Auqib Nabi as Bumrah's replacement.
A BCCI release said.
