Teddy Wilson, the son of former Wallabies captain and 1999 Rugby World Cup winner David Wilson, has been named in the Australia squad for November's Nations Championships Tests.
The 24-year-old scrum-half, who captained his country at the 2023 Under-20 World Championships, has been in fine form for the Waratahs and will, along with Tate McDermott, back up first-choice nine Ryan Lonergan.
David Wilson played 79 times for Australia and started at open-side flanker in their World Cup final win over France at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium in 1999.
Teddy revealed that David's jersey from the match is on display at the family home, but added that his father, who moved to Harlequins in 2000 and has subsequently moved into business, has not pushed his children to follow his sporting path.
"Dad doesn't really put much pressure on myself, he's been there and done that, obviously, so he definitely tells me a few things and helps me a lot," said Teddy.
"He just lets me play my game and if he needs to say something, he will."

Wilson is the latest in a series of father-son Wallaby dynasties.
Michael Lynagh's son Tom was Australia's starting fly-half in all three Tests against the British and Irish Lions last year.
Wing Max Jorgensen, prop Angus Bell and hooker Josh Nasser, all named in coach Les Kiss' 33-strong squad alongside Wilson, also had fathers who represented Australia.
Exeter flanker Tom Hooper and Racing 92 prop Taniela Tupou are also included, while centre Len Ikitau, who spent last season at Sandy Park with Hooper, is back from injury.
Australia will play England at Twickenham's Allianz Stadium on Sunday, 8 November, before fixtures against Scotland and Wales on the subsequent weekends.
They will return to Allianz Stadium on the final weekend of November for a play-off against a northern-hemisphere opponent as part of the finale of the new Nations Championship format.
