Bihar Police Constable result 2026 declared; check 19,681 candidates shortlisted for PET and PST CSBC Bihar Police Constable result 2026: The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC), Bihar, has declared the results of the written examination held for the recruitment of Prohibition Constables, Warders (Kakshpal) and Mobile Squad Constables.

Candidates can check and download their Bihar Police Constable result from the official CSBC website, csbc.bihar.gov.in.The recruitment drive covers 4,236 vacancies across various state departments.

The vacancy count was initially announced as 4,128 but was later revised after 94 posts were added for Prohibition Constables and 14 posts for Warders.

The revised vacancies include 1,697 Prohibition Constable posts, 2,431 Warder posts and 108 Mobile Squad Constable posts.Written examination drew over 11 lakh applicationsA total of 11,43,855 candidates registered for the recruitment examination.

Following scrutiny and the cancellation of some applications by candidates, 11,04,473 applications were accepted as valid.The written examination was conducted in two shifts on June 14, 2026, and June 17, 2026, at 544 examination centres spread across all 38 districts of Bihar.

Of the valid applicants, 5,34,735 candidates appeared for the examination.

During the examination, 80 candidates were disqualified for misconduct and indiscipline.

As a result, answer sheets of 5,34,669 valid candidates were evaluated.19,681 candidates shortlisted for next stageUnder the recruitment rules, candidates were required to secure at least 30% marks in the written examination.

Five times the number of available vacancies were to be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).The Board stated that there were not enough eligible candidates for seats reserved for ex-servicemen and Home Guards.

The remaining seats were consequently filled by non-Home Guard candidates in accordance with the applicable rules.Following the selection process, 19,681 candidates have qualified for the PET and PST.
