Bihar invites applications for 3,687 BSUSC Assistant Professor vacancies across universities and colleges BSUSC Assistant Professor recruitment 2026: The Bihar State University Service Commission (BSUSC) has released the notification for the recruitment of 3,687 Assistant Professor (Contractual Faculty) posts.
The online application process has commenced through the HED Bihar Samarth portal and will remain open until July 15, 2026.
Candidates can submit their applications without paying any application fee.The recruitment drive aims to fill contractual faculty positions across 10 state universities and 211 newly established Rajkiya Degree Colleges in Bihar.

The recruitment covers six subjects in the arts and humanities stream.Subject-wise vacancies announcedBSUSC has notified vacancies in English, History, Hindi, Economics, Political Science and Sociology.
English has the highest number of vacancies with 674 posts, followed by History with 662 posts and Hindi with 625 posts.
Economics accounts for 597 vacancies, while Political Science has 596 posts.

The minimum qualifying marks are relaxed to 50 per cent for SC, ST, BC, EBC and PwD candidates belonging to Bihar.Applicants must also have qualified UGC NET, CSIR NET or Bihar SET.
