CLAT 2027 registration to begin today; check eligibility, application steps and key dates CLAT 2027 registration: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will open the online registration window for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 today, August 3, 2026, at 10.00 am IST.

Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by participating National Law Universities will be able to submit their applications through the official portal once the registration link is activated.The application process will continue until October 31, 2026.

The CLAT 2027 examination is scheduled to be held on December 6, 2026, from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

The qualifying requirement for SC and ST candidates is 45 per cent.The offline examination will continue in the existing format, comprising comprehension-based multiple-choice questions.

The undergraduate programmes offer around 3,952 to 4,100 seats, while postgraduate admissions cover nearly 1,590 seats.

Female candidates account for 57 per cent of the applicant pool, while undergraduate aspirants contribute more than 80 per cent of total registrations.

With the overall selection rate remaining below 6 per cent, competition for seats is expected to remain intense.
