Several lawyers, dressed in formal suits, were also detained on Bhagwan Das Road near the Supreme Court while attempting to march towards Jantar Mantar.

They raised slogans and carried posters demanding CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation before police stopped them at barricades.

“Delhi Police have detained many advocates who were protesting near the Supreme Court,” said All India Lawyers Union’s Sanjay Kumar.
