Today’s fluff does not do Sudoku

After Vinícius Júnior signed a shiny new deal at Real Madrid, Arsenal are having to look elsewhere for a new winger. Turkey’s Kenan Yildizm who plies his trade with Juventus, is of interest to Mikel Arteta and the Gunners hierarchy. One potential way of getting the deal done is to send Gabriel Martinelli in the opposite direction.

It is all fun and games at Manchester City where they are trying to rebuild a midfield inside a week. Adam Wharton is supposedly on their wishlist but with a £100m price tag, the expense could be a little too much. City have reportedly put in a call to Selhurst Park but received a swift rebuffing in response. Considering the proximity of that Sainsbury’s to the Palace ground, any potential purchase of a midfielder would come with a lot of Nectar points. With Savinho on his way to Tottenham, City could replace him with Allan Elias, a left-footed right winger at Palmeiras – a team not keen on selling. Ruben Amorim is eager on a return to Manchester but only to take Rúben Dias to Milan.

Over at Anfield there are plans afoot for Liverpool to bid £55m for Endrick to test Real Madrid’s mettle on the matter. The Brazilian spent time on loan at Lyon last season and was recently linked with Aston Villa, who could re-enter the race should Ollie Watkins head to Al-Hilal.

There is still a good chance of a Chelsea clearout, with Nicolas Jackson chatting with Napoli over a move to Italy, while Atlético Madrid are also keen. Palace are in the market for a centre-back and are keen on signing up Blues bomb squad member Axel Disasi. The Frenchman is unwanted at Stamford Bridge, so would be a relatively straightforward signing after previous loan spells with Aston Villa and West Ham. Auxerre’s Kevin Danois is another player Pierre Sage likes the look of, with the 22-year-old midfielder marketed at £25m.

On thing that could sour the mood at Selhurst Park is the departure of frontman Jean-Philippe Mateta who is getting admiring glances from Tottenham. The Frenchman has been tipped to move on for a while and is into the final year of his contract, which could force Palace to cash in.
