They said they were unaware of any relationship involving Siya and Chetan and described her as a simple 19-year-old who had never expressed unhappiness about her engagement to Ketan.
The family said Ketan's relatives had treated Siya with affection and had planned an extravagant wedding in Udaipur costing around Rs 5 crore.
