Now one may wonder if it is fair to make an assessment so harsh as this but we have to remember that this is a team that has won the last two T20 World Cups and have somewhat acted like they feel they are the kings of the world in the way they have conducted themselves on the field.
If they deserved credit for their good days, there is no escaping the criticism on the bad days.
And so here it goes: India started off their tour of Ireland, which the broadcasters and a number of former Indian cricketers talked about like nothing more than a couple of practice matches, with a 34-run defeat to Ireland in Belfast, a result that sent quite a few shockwaves around the world.
Then came the next big shockwave, a one-run defeat in the second T20I which sealed a 2-0 series defeat.
