India vs West Indies Live score 2nd ODI: Almost 2,500 km separate Thiruvananthapuram from Guwahati, and India have made the long journey from the far south to the north-east with a chance to seal the series in the second game. India will bowl first, as Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi has gotten a much-anticipated debut. Virat Kohli will look to pick up from where he left off after his unbeaten 139 powered India to an eight-wicket win in the opener. Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, will be looking to turn his start into something substantial, but it is the bowlers who will attract the greater focus after lacking bite in the first game.
Keacy Carty is looking good today
In the first ODI, Keacy Carty scored 13 runs off 31 balls. To some extent, his inability to rotate the strike sucked the momentum out of the West Indies innings. But today against the new ball he is looking far more comfortable. He is timing the ball well, taking advantage of the restrictions. So far, Carty looks like a completely different batter.
Nabi under visible pressure
Well, so far, things have not gone as planned for the Indian debutant. He is not getting the movement; he generally gets it with a red ball. John Campbell is in fine form and has looked at ease against him. Besides, already a no-ball and five wides, pressure is on the Indian pacer.

Why is Auqib Nabi making a debut?
Well, you cannot ignore a player who has picked up 60 wickets in a season. Yes, during his time in the IPL 2026, he did not delivery as per expectations, but he has experience and the body of work to be trusted.

So, debuts for Auqib Nabi and Vitel Lawes. Nabi has been brilliant with the red ball in the domestic arena, it will be interesting to see what he does with the white ball here.
On the other hand, Vitel Lawes. This young spinner was impressive in the recently concluded CPL. He can be expensive, but he will surely go for wickets. An attacking option and most of all a much needed injection in the middle overs for West Indies. Let us see, how these two impress in their first outing on the big stage.

Shubman Gill has won the toss and opted to field first against West Indies, just like the last game. The Guwahati track has generally been very batting friendly, and hence India will look to restrict the visitors to anything less than 300. Auqib Nabi gets his debut, as he replaces Nitish Kumar Reddy in the playing XI.
Auqib Nabi likely to debut
Jammu and Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi is now set to get his highly anticipated international debut for India in the 2nd ODI vs West Indies. He was seen marking his run-up during the practice session before the start of the game. In fact, KL Rahul handed the star fast bowler his debut cap ahead of the match. It remains to be seen who he replaces in the playing XI.
Indian team arrives in stadium!!
The Indian team bus has arrived at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. There was a massive frenzy of fans as the team entered the stadium, as they set their sights on a series win.
India's chance to win series
India come into this game on the back of a massive 7-wicket win in the first ODI of the series. If Shubman Gill's en manage to beat the men from the Carribbean in the 2nd ODI, then they will take an unassailable 2-0 lead, and thus win the series with a match to spare.
