Jana Sena Party (JSP) has virtually launched an election campaign for the ensuing municipal corporation elections in both Vizianagaram and Srikakulam cities, adopting the "early bird catches the worm” proverb.
On the occasion of JSP president and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's birthday on September 2, the party conducted massive bike rallies and service activities. Party leaders and workers from all 62 divisions took part in the rally and showcased JSP's strength in the district headquarters.
The party planned blood donation camps, sapling plantations, and other service activities till October 2, Gandhi Jayanti. A month-long action plan was chalked out to get maximum political mileage in the elections, likely to be held later this year in October and November.
“Mr. Pawan Kalyan’s clean image made many neutral persons join JSP. It has become an added advantage for the party, which has a strong cadre base in Vizianagaram city. With the support of alliance parties TDP and BJP, our JSP will showcase its strength whenever the local body elections are held,” said Mr. Avanapu Vikram while speaking to the media here.
JSP senior leaders Daneti Sridhar and S. Vishwaksen have taken the lead for the bike rally in Srikakulam city. The party leaders were upbeat that JSP will get more seats in local body elections, as Jana Sena was given only one Palakonda Assembly seat in the 2024 elections. “JSP has got good support from women and youngsters due to adoption of clean politics,” Dr. Sridhar, JSP’s Srikakulam District general secretary, said.
Mr. Vishwaksen, who is the party in-charge of Etcherla, said JSP has been adopting new-age politics to reach the maximum number of people. He hoped that the party would get significant strength in local body elections to be held for Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies.
