UGNEET 2026: KEA extends fresh application deadline to July 30 for NEET qualified candidates The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for submitting fresh applications for UGNEET-2026 until July 30, 2026.
The extension is available for candidates who have appeared for NEET, qualified for admission to medical courses and have not yet applied for UGNEET through the KEA portal.KEA Executive Director H.
Prasanna IAS informed candidates that the earlier deadline of July 24, 2026, has been extended following requests from applicants and parents.
The authority has also clarified that NEET results information has not yet been received by KEA.
Candidates do not need to submit their NEET roll number details until the information is made available.Fresh registration facility for medical admissionsKEA had earlier opened fresh applications for candidates seeking admission to Medical, Dental and AYUSH courses in Karnataka for the 2026-27 academic session.
Candidates who missed UGCET-2026 registration can apply through the UGNEET-2026 new registration link available on the KEA website.Applicants must complete registration, submit the online application and pay the applicable fee to participate in the admission process.
Candidates who have already registered for CET-2026 do not need to submit a fresh application.
KEA will provide a separate link through which existing applicants can add their NEET roll number to their CET application.
NEET roll number linking and document verificationKEA stated that the facility to link NEET roll numbers will be provided after receiving the required NEET results data.
Once candidates register their NEET roll number, document verification procedures will begin according to the schedule issued by the authority.The eligibility criteria, minimum qualifying marks and category requirements will follow the norms prescribed by the competent authorities after the UGNEET-2026 re-examination results are published.KEA has advised candidates to read the UGNEET-2026 Information Bulletin carefully before applying.
The bulletin contains details about eligibility conditions, seat categories and requirements for claiming different types of seats.Instructions for non-Karnataka and special category candidatesNon-Karnataka candidates are required to register on the KEA portal, provide personal details, pay the registration fee, enter Class 12 marks information and upload the marks card in PDF format through the Marks Entry web portal.OCI, PIO, NRI and foreign candidates, along with eligible non-Karnataka applicants seeking NRI Ward, religious minority or specified St.
John's Medical College seats, must book slots and attend document verification at KEA, Bengaluru on the notified dates.All UGNEET-2026 counselling rounds, including the Stray Vacancy Round, will be conducted online by KEA as per National Medical Commission and AYUSH Department guidelines.
