NEET UG Counselling 2026 round 1 choice filling begins; submit preferences by August 13.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has commenced the round 1 choice filling process for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) Counselling 2026.
It is a crucial stage in the admission process for MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical programmes.
Candidates who have successfully completed registration can now log in to the official counselling portal and submit their preferred colleges and courses.The choice filling facility will remain available until August 13, after which candidates will be required to lock their preferences within the stipulated timeline.
The seat allotment will be carried out based on candidates' NEET UG rank, reservation criteria, seat availability and the order of preferences submitted during counselling.The MCC is conducting the centralised counselling process for admissions under the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges.
The process also includes admissions to AIIMS, JIPMER, Central Universities, deemed universities and other participating institutions across the country.
