(Image Credits IMDb) Actor Rajpal Yadav has been sentenced by the Delhi High Court to three months' imprisonment in each of the seven cheque bounce cases arising from a Rs 9 crore debt dispute.

As per the hearing which took place today, there is no relief for the actor, as the court rejected his plea for a stay, ordering immediate custody and imposing heavy financial penalties on his family.Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma also directed the actor to pay Rs 1.05 crore to the complainant in each case.

Yadav has been ordered to pay Rs 1,04,75,000 to the complainant, along with Rs 25,000 to the State.

It clarified that the Rs 2.25 crore already paid by Rajpal Yadav would be adjusted against the total amount payable.During the previous hearing, Yadav appeared virtually and rejected the settlement proposal placed before the Court.

He submitted that he had already incurred severe financial setbacks, saying, "I had already suffered heavy financial losses." * He further stated, *"I had been forced to sell my property and had already made substantial payments."The High Court had also proposed a structured payment plan under which Rs 3 crore would be paid within a stipulated timeframe.

However, the Court made it clear that the proposal was merely a judicial suggestion and not a final settlement.
