Arjun Sharma (2/48) and Jayant Goyat (2/51) were the standout bowlers for Services. Delhi were tested earlier today, but the partnership steadied the ship and helped them gain a 33-run lead.

Sutar smashes world record

With Chinmay Sutar smashing his third century in a row, he has now etched his name in the record books. He has broken the 123-year-old world record for the most runs scored by a batter after their first five innings from debut in first-class cricket.

During the match against Arunachal Pradesh, Sutar eclipsed the previous world record of 724 runs set by Australia's Bill Ponsford between 1921 and 1923

Sutar is also closing in on the all-time world record for most runs scored after 6 innings after debut.

Mumbai vs Railways update

Railways fought hard to finish Day 2 on 116/2 in reply to Mumbai's 396 in the first innings. Mumbai pacers, led by Tushar Deshpande, fought hard and bent their back to no reward. Their lead spinners Tanush Kotian and Shams Mulani have got amongst the wickets with a wicket each, but Railways have shown so far that they have a stomach for a fight.

Horror start for MP!

Madhya Pradesh just had to bat out seven overs, but it is a terrible start to their innings with the bat. Yash Dubey walks back as Vidarbha's Parth Rekhade strikes early.

Madhya Pradesh 4/1.

Chinmay Sutar's incredible form

Chinmay Sutar, who smashed 400 earlier in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season, is continuing with his rich vein of form. He smashed a third ton in a row in the tournament against Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday and is currently batting on 131 off 226 balls.

Mizoram 358/3, leading Arunachal by 73 runs.

Vidarbha bowled out

That's the end of Vidarbha's innings. Parth Rekhade is the last man to walk back. The team finishes at 334 with a lead of 125 against Madhya Pradesh.

MP now has seven overs to deal with before the close of play on Day 2.

Third wicket goes down for Kerala

Nagaswalla with his second wicket of the day. He kept at it, troubling Abhishek Nair with short balls, and the ploy eventually worked as he was strangled down the leg side. He walks back for 10.

The third wicket also comes pretty easily for Gujarat as Varun is dismissed by Chintan. Kerala 48/3.

Stumps at Eden Gardens

The light has really deteriorated at Eden Gardens, and the players walk off the field. The umpires call stumps, and it's the end of the proceedings on Day 2. Maharashtra at 207/9, leading Bengal by 64 runs.

Doseja leads Delhi's recovery

Delhi v Services, Day 2: Ayush Doseja (76*) has led the recovery with Sumit Mathur, who is batting on 64* now. After losing five wickets, Delhi have managed a wicketless session. Good rescue act.

Delhi vs Services

Ayush Doseja and Sumit Mathur have steadied the ship for Delhi and the partnership between the two for the sixth wicket is nearing the 100-run mark. The duo are moving scorecard nicely and the runs are coming by easily.

Delhi 223/5 in 68.4 overs.

Assam vs Karnataka update

Day 2 comes to an end for this fixture. At stumps, Karnataka are 496/5 at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, with KV Aneesh and Manvanth Kumar batting on 142 and 53, respectively.

Early strike for Gujarat

Well, it didn't take long for Gujarat to strike the opening blow. Kerala opener Rohan Kunnummal falls to Nagaswalla. Kerala 16/1. Varun Nayanar joins Abishek Nair in the middle.

Hyderabad vs Chhattisgarh update

Hyderabad are losing wickets in a heap. Dharmendrasingh Jadeja is the main wrecker-in-chief. The home side have now lost three wickets for 17 runs, with Pragnay Reddy, Rahul Radesh and Ayush Pandey all walking back to the hut.

Hyderabad 212/7, still trailing Chhattisgarh by 74 runs.

Gujarat declare

It didn't make any sense that Gujarat came out to bat after tea as well. Basil strikes in his first over, dismisses Siddharth, and with that, Gujarat decides to declare their innings. Bizarre state of play after tea.

Gujarat declare at 534/9 with Urvil Patel unbeaten on 210

Saurashtra bowled out

Tripura have bundled out Saurashtra for 118 to take a 170-run lead. Parvez Sultan is the pick of the Tripura bowlers, returning with five wickets. Sandip Sarkar also provided ample support, taking four wickets.

Tamil Nadu declare

At last, Tamil Nadu have declared against Chandigarh. 571/7 is the eventual total with Pradosh Ranjan Paul top scoring with 208 while S Ajith Ram remained unbeaten on 115. Skipper Sai Kishore also chipped in with an unbeaten 36 off 35 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes.

Gujarat vs Kerala update

Urvil Patel slammed a double century for Gujarat and the team total has gone past the 500-run mark. The right-hander, who plays for CSK in the IPL, is currently batting on 210. His innings has been studded with 17 fours and 6 sixes so far.

Maharashtra extend lead against Bengal

No 8 Tanay Sanghavi has reached a gritty fifty, stretching Maharashtra's lead to a vital 62. Maharashtra 205/9 after 77 overs.

Doseja hits fifty!

Delhi v Services, Day 2: After Services left-arm spinner Arjun Sharma and pacer Jayant Goyat broke the back of Delhi middle-order with two wickets apiece, Doseja is leading the recovery for Delhi with a half-century. His first of the season.

UP off to a solid start

Uttar Pradesh have made a positive start in reply to Baroda's 355, reaching 90 without losing a wicket. Adarsh Singh is unbeaten on 57 and has found good support from Madhav Kaushik, who is batting on 29. The opening pair have given UP a strong platform.

Pradosh Paul departs after double century

Pradosh Paul’s outstanding innings comes to an end at 208 as Tamil Nadu close in on the 450-run mark against Chandigarh. The Tamil Nadu batter has played a major role in putting his side in a commanding position, producing a double century after resuming Day 2 unbeaten on 138.

Mumbai all out for 396

Mumbai have been bowled out for 396. Shams Mulani was the last man to fall on 71. Can Mumbai's more rounded bowling attack get more out of the Brabourne surface on a hot and humid day?

Ayush Badoni falls after lunch

Delhi v Services, Day 2: At the end of 41 overs, Delhi have not been able to stabilise their innings post-lunch. Ayush Doseja (14*) is still at the crease, but Ayush Badoni (7) and Anuj Rawat’s (0) dismissals in consecutive overs have set them further back.

Maharashtra putting up a fight!

Maharashtra's lower order has stood firm and given them the all-important first innings lead against Bengal. They are now 150/8 after 49 overs, meaning Bengal have to seek an all-out win from here, which they have plenty of time for too.
