Spain vs Saudi Arabia Live Score: Heavyweights Spain are up against Saudi Arabia in the second match of both the teams in Group H at the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Sunday, June 21 in Atlanta.
Spain and Saudi Arabia have both drawn their opening matches of the competition and are now looking to get their first win. Spain had been held to a goalless draw by debutants Cabo Verde in one of the biggest upsets of the World Cup. Despite being one of the favourites to win the title, La Roja looked lacklustre in the first game of their campaign. Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, had stopped Uruguay to a 1-1 draw in a gritty display in their World Cup opener.
Yamal likely to start
The 18-year-old Lamine Yamal is set to make his first start in World Cup. He came on the ground as a substitute in Spain’s World Cup opener against Cabo Verde. This was his first appearance since suffering a hamstring injury on April 22 but he could not inspire a breakthrough in a disappointing 0-0 draw against tournament debutants Cape Verde.
“The most important thing is that he’s back,” said Spain coach Luis de la Fuente ahead of the clash against Saudi Arabia. “Seeing how he competes, how he is rediscovering that feeling, spirit, finesse which he had and has back now, that is the best possible news.”
Yamal is likely to take the place of Gavi in the team.
“There is no drama or crisis. The bottom line is simply that we need to win tomorrow,” de la Fuente said about the game.
