The Tamil Nadu government has formed a committee to study the anomalies in guideline values, said Minister for Registration and Commercial Taxes D.

“There is no request for increasing the guideline values.
But, there are anomalies.
Hence, we have formed a committee and we will take action based on the report of the committee.
We will get into this after the Assembly session gets over,” he told The Hindu in Coimbatore on Friday.
The Minister took part in the inauguration of a workshop in Coimbatore for document writers, realtors, developers, and promoters on the ‘presenceless’ registration that will be mandatory from August 17 across the State.

The registration will be done almost immediately.
“Requirement of many documents will not be necessary since these are first time sales”, he added.
The Minister said at the meeting that the ‘presenceless’ registration will bring in transparency and remove middlemen.
Workshops were held in Chennai, Madurai, Tiruchi and Coimbatore on this system.
Call centres that will function 24x7 have been set up to assist the public with this registration, he added.

Sampathkumar said the ‘presenceless’ registration is part of the efforts of the government to take its schemes and welfare measures directly to the public.

Arun Sundar Thayalan, registration of a document involves three processes – execution, presentation, and registration.
When a sale is executed, the documents can be presented from anywhere through this system.
