Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced on Wednesday (July 1, 2026) the conclusion of talks in Doha on implementing the memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington on ending the war in West Asia, state media reported.

The participants agreed that “a communication channel would be established by tomorrow” to report and record violations of the memorandum, the IRNA state news agency quoted Mr.

Gharibabadi as saying.

Gharibabadi said on Wednesday (July 1, 2026) that Tehran would use some of its frozen assets in Qatar to purchase goods needed by the country following talks in Doha.

Under the memorandum of understanding that halted the war between Iran and the United States, Washington agreed to make available Iran’s frozen or restricted assets as part of the agreement’s implementation.
