The victory secured a last-four berth and top spot in Group B, ensuring no semi-final meeting with the Group A leaders and six-time T20 champions, Australia.

The dazzling 4-2 victory over Croatia in their opener suggested Thomas Tuchel’s side might finally have found the blend of talent and authority required to end six decades of hurt.
Then came Ghana and a goalless draw that brought England back down to earth, exposing the familiar frustrations that have haunted them at major tournaments.
Still, the Three Lions face already-eliminated Panama, knowing victory will give them a great chance of finishing top of the group.
