Veteran actor Anant Nag was honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2024 at the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony on Tuesday.

He recalled acting in around 50 plays in his initial years, describing the experience as his training ground for acting.
The veteran actor also spoke about working in films across different languages and representing Karnataka through his performances.Recalling his Padma Bhushan honour from President Droupadi Murmu last year, Anant Nag said, “I feel very, very lucky and fortunate to have received what is supposed to be the highest honour in cinema, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, again at the hands of Murmu ji.
