Jun 23, 2026 10:00 PM IST Cocktail 2 Movie Update: 'The movie was a frustrating watch' User SageWispher took to Reddit and wrote, "The movie was a frustrating watch.

Almost everything about it annoyed me.

Rashmika's character was incredibly irritating and spineless.

You're in a long-term relationship and engaged to be married, yet you can't have one honest conversation about your insecurities or what's bothering you?

Even worse, you continue being friends with someone who is actively trying to sabotage your relationship.

It made no sense.

Kriti's character was even worse.

Not every strong emotion is love, and the film seemed determined to romanticize behavior that was simply selfish.

She was a terrible friend, constantly crossing boundaries and disrespecting an existing relationship.

I've seen people compare her to Veronica from the first Cocktail, but Veronica was never a backstabber.

The comparison doesn't work.

As for Shahid's character, the film treats him like a saint, but his actions were far from perfect.

When someone confesses their love to you while knowing you're in a committed relationship and about to get married, you don't keep having intimate late-night conversations and sharing emotional moments.

You make your position crystal clear and tell your partner what happened.

Instead, he kept sending mixed signals.

And when his fiancée misunderstood situations, he rarely made a serious effort to clear things up.

The biggest problem with the movie is that it tries to present all this as tragic romance when, in reality, most of the conflict could have been solved through basic honesty, communication, and respect for boundaries."
