OpenAI safety employee quits, says 'time for trial and error is over' Mr.

Musk was one of the tech and AI leaders who signed the White House’s recent Accord on Super Intelligence, where companies developing frontier models committed to safeguards and security audits—many of which are already being implemented.

Mr.

Trump’s office had suggested that the new term ‘SI’ better captured the evolving prowess of the technology.

“The name Super Intelligence conveys the true capabilities of the technologies being developed today, unlocking new forms of human creativity and empowering Americans to achieve what was previously impossible—not simply imitating or automating human intelligence as is implied by the term “Artificial Intelligence,” stated a White House fact-sheet on September 29.

As per Mr.

Trump’s executive order, the U.S.

Assistant to the President for Science and Technology (APST) has been directed to propose a federal definition of “Super Intelligence” and “SI.” Trump formally replaces ‘Artificial Intelligence’ with ’Super Intelligence’ in an executive order In addition, all departments will have to use “Super Intelligence” and “SI” in official correspondence, public communications, policy documents, and non-statutory documents within the executive branch.

They can no longer acknowledge the terms “Artificial Intelligence” or “AI”.
