Germany vs Ecuador LIVE Score: Germany will be eyeing a clean sweep of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage when they face Ecuador in New Jersey on Thursday, 25 June. Four-time world champions Germany currently are top of the Group E standings with six points in as many outings, having won both of their games so far, and have already qualified for the Round of 32.

Julian Nagelsmann’s men, however, will be hoping to sign off from the group stage with a perfect 3-0 record by beating Ecuador at the New York/New Jersey Stadium. They had begun their campaign with a 7-1 mauling of debutants Curacao in Houston, with Kai Havertz scoring a brace including off a penalty.

Germany, however, were trailing Cote d’Ivoire 0-1 for more than an hour in Toronto after Franck Kessie put Les Éléphants ahead in the half-hour mark. Deniz Undav leveled the scores with a 68th-minute strike and later fired the winner in stoppage time to help his team collect a second consecutive win.

Ecuador’s knockout hopes all but over

Ecuador, meanwhile, are third in Group E with just one point to their name and a Goal Difference of -1, and aren’t making the cut as far as qualifying for the Round of 32 as one of the eight best third-ranked teams is concerned.

They had lost to Cote d’Ivoire 0-1 in their tournament opener in Philadelphia before playing out a goalless draw against Curacao.

They will thus have to pull off an upset victory over ‘Die Mannschaft’, if they are to stand a chance of advancing to the next stage. Even if Cote d’Ivoire beat Curacao in the other Group E fixture on Thursday, Ecuador could reach the knockouts as they will have a better chance with 4 points to their name than 1.

Germany and Ecuador have faced each other twice till date, including at the 2006 World Cup that the former had hosted, with the Germans emerging triumphant on each occasion.
