The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) issued the advisory after intense rain on Monday left several roads flooded and traffic movement severely affected.All government and private schools and educational institutions in Gurugram district have been advised to conduct classes online.
Corporate and private offices have also been advised to guide employees and staff to work from home.

The DDMA modified its earlier advisory to specifically direct schools towards online classes for today.
The WFH advisory for corporate and private offices remains in force.The decision followed heavy rainfall on Monday, when Gurugram recorded around 75 mm of rain by the afternoon.
The downpour caused waterlogging on several important roads and affected school transport.
School buses were stranded at waterlogged stretches, including areas around Subhash Chowk, with some children remaining inside buses for hours.Key roads affected by heavy rainWaterlogging was reported around Narsinghpur, Hero Honda Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, IFFCO Chowk, Railway Road, Sector 5, Old Delhi Road, Mehrauli Road and Basai Road.
The Naharpur underpass was also affected, while school buses and ambulances were caught in waterlogging on Sohna Road.
Traffic slowed on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway and other major routes.Other affected locations included Golf Course Road, Sector 45, Sector 52 and several stretches of old Gurugram.
Traffic police personnel were deployed at major congestion points, including Sirhaul border, Rajiv Chowk and Narsinghpur.IMD alert and civic responseThe India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for Delhi and warned of further rainfall.
