Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy on Friday alleged that ‘certain malicious elements’ were conspiring to ‘incite attacks’ on Parliament and the Supreme Court, hoping to create a situation in India similar to the political turmoil witnessed in countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
He further claimed that ‘some Opposition forces’ within the country were ‘distressed’ by India’s progress, much like Pakistan and Bangladesh, which, he said, viewed India’s development with envy and anxiety at the National Tricolour Rally (Tiranga Yatra) organised by the Telangana BJP from the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund to the Swami Vivekananda statue on the eve of Independence Day.
The Union Minister alleged that people were aware of how certain political parties and what he termed ‘Tukde-Tukde gangs’ had behaved during the events surrounding Operation Sindoor, claiming that they appeared to ‘want Pakistan to succeed and India to fail’. “The people of the nation must reject the malicious politics of those who carry the Constitution in hand while engaging in anti-national conspiracies,” he said.

Calling for unity, Mr. Kishan Reddy said the need of the hour was for citizens to work together for the nation’s progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also challenged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to take action against the AIMIM for allegedly opposing the singing of Vande Mataram.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said the Congress should demonstrate its commitment to youth empowerment by providing opportunities to members of Generation Z in the State Cabinet. Stating that there was broad agreement on the proposal to permit entry into legislative bodies at the age of 21, he called for a nationwide discussion on the issue. Mr. Sanjay Kumar also urged the Congress to field Gen Z candidates in the forthcoming MLC elections and give greater representation to younger leaders while allotting Assembly tickets.
Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao extended Independence Day greetings to the people of the State and thanked participants for joining the Tiranga Yatra with enthusiasm and discipline. Rajya Sabha member and BJP OBC Morcha national president K. Laxman said India’s strength lay in its unity despite its linguistic, religious, regional and cultural diversity.
“However, certain foreign and domestic forces are attempting to divide the country in the name of caste, religion and regional identities, including the North-South divide. Such attempts must be defeated,” he said. Former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, MP Eatala Rajender and several other BJP leaders also addressed the gathering.
