Jul 30, 2026 10:30 AM IST Spider-Man Brand New Day fuels Hollywood boom in India Spider-Man: Brand New Day has sparked exceptional excitement among Indian moviegoers, with advance bookings surpassing expectations, according to Kamal Gianchandani, Chief Business Planning & Strategy at PVR INOX Limited.
Speaking to PTI, Gianchandani said the Tom Holland-led superhero film has generated outstanding demand and predicted that Hollywood films will contribute 60–70% more to exhibitors' business in 2026 compared to last year.
He noted that Hollywood has enjoyed a remarkable run in India this year with hits such as The Odyssey, Project Hail Mary, and Obsession, while the remainder of the release calendar includes major titles like Dune: Part Three, Avengers: Doomsday, and Digger.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man Brand New Day releases in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam across 2D, 3D, and premium large formats.
