Young Indians (Yi) Thiruvananthapuram Chapter, the youth wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will organise the second edition of the Young Indians Parliament 2026 on July 10 and 11.

The event is being organised at the Old Legislative Assembly Building at the Secretariat. A total of 129 selected students from various government and private schools across the city and its surrounding areas will participate in the event.

Five students from the Government VHSS for the Deaf, Thiruvananthapuram, will participate in the programme with the assistance of professional Sign Language interpreters. At the conclusion of the two-day session, 30 outstanding student performers will be selected to represent the region at the Young Indians Parliament Regional Round to be held in Mysuru.

Speaker Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan will inaugurate the programme. Electricity Minister Sunny Joseph and former Speaker M. Vijayakumar will also participate in the inaugural session.

Transport Minister C.P. John will be the chief guest at the valedictory session. State Higher Education Council vice-chairperson Achuthsankar S. Nair will also participate.
