Jul 2, 2026 10:49 AM IST 'One day they'll start breaking the BJP too': Sanjay Raut attacks Modi, Amit Shah During a press conference, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut launched an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing them of being "obsessed" with engineering splits in opposition parties.

Raut alleged that the BJP's leadership was so focused on breaking political rivals that "one day they will start breaking the BJP itself." He also claimed there was a "Rs 25–35 crore game" and alleged attempts were made to split 15 MLAs of the TVK in Tamil Nadu to topple the government.

Calling the situation "condemnable", Raut said India's democracy had fallen to such a low level that future generations would have to be told "there was once a democracy in this country."
